Women on the Verge continue to make a commitment, both as a trio and as individual artists, to educate audiences about their engagement with female composers, poets, and their works.  This commitment includes engagement with different communities in an open and safe environment for exchanging ideas and promoting curiosity.

Through exploration within our teaching, we encourage creativity in others, foster development, and create an inclusive setting to build trust and authenticity.  We are excited for the future of skill-building that our teaching offers both for career development in young professional audiences and by engagement with the community to make social changes to improve the quality of life for different communities through the arts.

In past seasons, Women on the Verge have been invited to present master classes at the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and Lethbridge, and McMaster University; to curate Canadian and American repertoire master classes at the Iceland University of the Arts; to give lecture-recitals at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Grande Prairie Regional College, AB. Upcoming projects include Teaching Artist with Centennial Secondary School Arts Program (Belleville, ON) and workshop clinicians for emerging composers, singers, and pianists in developing new vocal repertoire through Green Room Sound Collective.

Women on the Verge are currently working with the Canadian Music Centre to help create better resources to access Canadian art songs written by women.  More information will be available soon.

We would love to hear how we can encourage and support the addition of new Canadian and American music in your program. Contact us to discuss any of the following:
